Fortuna Vlieland – Bier uit de branding

There is a very special brewery on Vlieland called Fortuna. They make beer from island dune water, in a beautiful energy sufficient building, with an amazing care for detail. Together with Tom van Huisstede, Jonathan made a film about their story and ideology, which you can now watch in their own little theater chapel in the brewery.

De Utrecht is a hidden jewel in Friesland, built in 1904 Jugendstil and in 2021 restored and renovated to house new art exhibitions. Tom van Huisstede and Jonathan add personal video portraits of the artists to these exhibitions.

Jonathan’s friend Henk moved from Amsterdam to the galician countryside. He visited him and made a video portrait about him, his girlfriend, their 6 dogs, 2 horses, the abandoned houses, the heavy wind and the slow pace.
